Students participate in a project that visualizes the relationship between the rainforest and the metallic mineral coltan.
Coltan is indispensable for the manufacturing of electronic capacitors, used in consumer electronic products such as cell phones and computers. Mining coltan brings about large-scale destruction of the rainforest.
Twenty-eight teenage students participated in this project commissioned by OroVerde, Tropical Forest Foundation.
