Tattoo Benches
Benches made from tree trunks, supported by wooden rings, personalised with more than a hundred drawings burned in to the wood with soldering irons by local children and adults.
The ‘tattooing’ was carried out in a series of workshops, at which the participants also wrote lyrics for a song about the project and their neighbourhood. A poster was made featuring the lyrics, and displayed in a shop window near the tattoo benches.
